My Message to Md Yunus, Chief Administrator of Bangla Desh

Bangla Desh is in turmoil now. The established Electoral System has
apparently been discarded- since the winning Political Party of last many
elections "Bangladesh Awami League" is under major attack. Second biggest
"Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)" is also not popular. New parties of
students etc are emerging. Govt of Md Yunus has to devise a completely new
system. PR can be accepted in the present flux if it catches the acceptance of
current ruling elite of Bangla Desh. In acceptance of PR they don't have
barriers like "SC- ST Reservations". Bangla Desh has quite an educated
intelligentsia. Such turmoil may lead to major changes in Electoral System.
Hence I wrote this Msg to Md Yunus though Twitter (X). That is the only channel
available to me. Wonder if it catches his eyes ! Acceptance of PR in Bangla Desh
will create a major impetus for same in India too. Our Intelligentsia may wake
up to idea of PR. Acceptance of PR by Nepal & Sri Lanka did not affect our
"Üncurious" intelligentsia & also Voters at large !

Proportional Representation for India @PRforIndiaNow @Yunus_Centre
Pl make all efforts to bring "Proportional Representation" Electoral System in
Bangla Desh ASAP. The present FPTP system is unjust & undemocratic. It should be
discarded in favour of MMR PR system in vogue Germany since end of WW2. 95
countries have adopted PR. --C.B. Choudhary
